411 on the Most Popular Facial in Skin Care: The Hydrafacial
Personally and professionally, we love Hydrafacial. It’s one of the most popular skin treatments in our office at the moment and around the globe, (a Hydrafacial is performed every 15 seconds!) and for good reason!
The Hydrafacial is universally awesome for almost all skin types. It targets many of the most common skin concerns such as aging and dryness, with virtually no side effects. This also means zero downtime - making it the perfect “event” facial.
How does Hydrafacial work?
We asked our in-house Esthetician Stephanie!
“The Patented Vortex fusion aka Hydradermabrasion, offers a deep delivery of active ingredients to the lower layers of the skin making the hydrafacial far superior to it's competitors for overall skin rejuvenation.”
It starts by removing dead skin cells and excess sebum from the surface using a handle-held suction device. A combination of glycolic and salicylic acids are then applied to the skin helping to break up impurities that may be clogging the pores.
Then comes the fun part - the Hydrapeel Tip! This powerful little vacuum removes blackheads, oil, dirt and impurities while also hydrating your skin! All pain free. Yes!! Say bye bye to painful, tear-jerking extractions!
The last steps in this comprehensive treatment are the customizable ampules that target a variety of skin concerns, and the age-defying antioxidant infusion.
The Hydrafacial is a full-spectrum device that:
exfoliates
hydrates
purifies
extracts
increases skin luminosity
detoxifies
treats a variety of skin conditions (acne, aging, hyper-pigmentation, etc.) and is safe for almost all skin types
What are the benefits after the Hydrafacial?
Hydrafacial’s many benefits include a more clear, hydrated, ultra vibrant complexion that also improves the visible signs of aging. It can also help with reducing the appearance of enlarged pores, increasing firmness, and evening out skin tone and discoloration.
Extractions & clear pores without side effects!
Virtually none. You may experience a little redness immediately following the treatment, but it should fade quickly. We recommend allowing your skin to absorb all of the active ingredients and to let it breathe afterward by avoiding makeup if possible.
It's possible to experience some irritation due to the active ingredients in the various serums. Please check to make sure you’re not allergic to glycolic or salicylic acid before this treatment.
Are you a good patient for Hydrafacial?
Most likely, yes! Hydrafacial is perfect for people with acne, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, sun damaged, or anyone looking for a skin refresh!
Unless you are pregnant, suffering from active rashes, sunburns, rosacea, or couperpose skin we wouldn’t recommend this treatment for you.
How often can you get a Hydrafacial?
The results do last longer than traditional facials, but to maintain the benefits from your hydrafacial treatment we suggest every 4-6 weeks for maximum results.
Can you get a Hydrafacial while having Botox®, fillers, etc?
Yes. You can get a Hydrafacial while getting fillers, Botox® or even micro-blading.
