The Basics of having Good Skin
- Posted on: Sep 15 2019
When you think of having good skin you may think that it’s expensive and complex. Although that may be true for some people who suffer from certain skin conditions, for most people, good skin can be pretty attainable with just a few steps. Let’s go over a few of the basics for you to use in order to have better skin.
Wash Your Face
One of the most basic things that you can do is wash your face both morning and night. Washing your face is the number one way for you to get rid of dirt, oil, and bacteria on your skin which can lead to a variety of things including acne breakouts, dryness, and blemishes. If you are just too tired to wash your face at night, a good alternative is some face wipes; that way you at least get most of the dirt off of your face before you go to bed.
Get Fillers and Botox
Another easy thing that you can do to have smooth, healthy, youthful skin is getting fillers and Botox. A lot of patients start to get Botox in their late twenties or early thirties as a more preventative tool to avoid getting deep fine lines and wrinkles. But, if you are middle-aged or older, Botox can help you get rid of any wrinkles that you may already have.
Fillers are another way to keep your skin looking good. Fillers are used to add volume to your cheeks, lips, under your eyes, and around your mouth. And, they can be used on adults of virtually all ages.
Wearing sunscreen is the best way to protect your skin from sun spots, premature fine lines and wrinkles, and skin cancer. Wearing an everyday sunscreen year-round is how you can get the most out of your sunscreen. Just make sure that you find a broad-spectrum sunscreen that’s specifically designed for the face so that it doesn’t break you out.
Having good skin doesn’t have to be complicated. Get into the habit of using these tips, and you should notice smoother, healthier skin in no time. To learn more, contact our San Francisco office and call us at 415.409.6500.
