How to Get the Most Out Of Your Microneedling

Your Microneedling Treatment | Skin Medical Spa If there’s one thing that a lot of patients don’t understand about skin care treatments it’s that in order for them to be the most effective treatments possible, there are several things that you need to do. Depending on the exact treatment that you are getting done, we may encourage you to do different things.

As one of the most popular treatments that we offer here at our office, microneedling can give patients more youthful and healthier looking skin. To really get the most out of your microneedling, however, we have created a list of some additional things that you can do.

Get It Done On a  Regular Basis

If you get microneedling done once at our office you will notice some results, However, if you get it done on a more frequent basis, that’s when you will really notice an improvement in your skin. During your initial consultation with one of our skincare experts, we will be able to better determine how often you should get microneedling done.

Baby Your Skin

Microneedling works essentially by making tiny punctures in your skin which, in turn, signal your skin’s response to heal itself. Because your skin will take a few days to fully heal from microneedling, we always encourage our patients to really baby their skin. For instance, only use gentle moisturizing creams on your skin and avoid irritating ingredients. Additionally, try to stay out of the sun because your skin may be extra sensitive.

Use Good Skin Care

One of the unique benefits of procedures, like microneedling, is that they help your skin to better absorb skin care products. The results? Better looking skin. We always encourage our patients to invest not just in skin care treatments, but skin care products as well; that way you ensure that you really are giving your skin the best treatment that it deserves.
