If you have been dabbling with the idea of getting lip fillers, but you are a little bit ambivalent, then this article is just the thing for you. From giving you duck lips to making you look like you go to work done, let’s debunk some common myths about fillers.

Myth #1: They Will Give you Duck Lips

Not all fillers will give you duck lips. Injection placement is the number one way for you to get either natural looking lips or duck lips. Here at our office, we have the training and technique to give you naturally plump looking lips so that the last thing you will resemble is a duck.

Myth #2: They Hurt

We will apply a topical numbing ointment to your lips before we even start with the filler. Once your lips are completely numb, we will then start injections. Although injections aren’t pain-free, they aren’t painful either. In fact, most patients say that they can feel a little pinch or tingling sensation, but most of their mouth should be number.

Myth #3: People Will Be Able To Tell

If you want people to know that you had work done on your lips, then we will add more filler. If, however, you are going for something a little bit more subtle, then most people probably won’t even notice. Typically, when we have patients who are ambivalent about getting fillers because they don’t want people to know that they got work done, so we will recommend that you only do a little bit at a time. Then, if you want to come in and get more, we can always add to it.
