If you are a teenager or have a teenager who is suffering from acne, then you know just how damaging it can be on your self esteem. In order to get your skin back into shape and to clear up your complexion, try the following three all-natural solutions. Read on to learn more.
Citrus isn’t just a great way to fight off the common cold or flu. In fact, the citric principles found in fruits like oranges can actually help to clear out your skin. Specifically, citric acid is a natural astringent which will help to remove bacteria and oils that may be contributing to your breakouts. So how can you use oranges exactly? Simply grate an orange and mix half parts water until you have a thick paste. Simply apply the paste to your face as you would a face mask and leave it on your skin for about 10-20 minutes. After the time is up, simply take a wet, warm washcloth and remove the paste. You will notice just how smooth and clear your skin truly is after taking the paste off
2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Vinegar isn’t just a great cleaning agent that you can use to clean things like your drains or bathroom floors. In fact, apple cider vinegar has an array of health benefits that you may not even be familiar with, including having the capability to clear your skin. By helping to level out the pH balance in your skin, apple cider works to help get rid of the bacteria on your face that is contributing to your acne.
In order to use the apple cider vinegar, simply mix one part vinegar with three parts water in order to dilute the vinegar itself. Then take a cotton pad or cotton ball and apply the solution all across your face just as you would an astringent or facial toner. Try this mixture every night for a few weeks in order to help clear up your skin.
3. Egg Whites
Another great and all-natural way to help clear up your acne is by using egg whites. Egg whites are full of both proteins and vitamins that help to rebuild your skin cells and restore your skin’s natural oils so that they don’t adversely contribute to that nasty acne. In order to use egg whites, simply take two to three egg whites and whip them together until you get a frothy consistency. Once mixed, apply the egg whites to your skin with a washcloth and let the moisture sit on your skin for about 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, simply wipe the mixture off.
